Jack is the newest member of the family

Jack came to the studio without his sisters

I was so excited when I found out that Laura had had another baby. A boy this time that they named Jack! She and her husband already had two girls. They chose not to bring the girls for sibling pictures. I was expecting the girls to come along to the session for some sibling shots but they were unable to come along.

Laura and I attended a Knit and Stitch class in Doncaster on Wednesday afternoons. All of a sudden a lot of babies were born with mum and dad’s booking newborn session so I had to stop going. So you can imagine my excitement when little Jack popped up in my news feed on facebook as the newest member of their family.

A nice warm day for a photo session

It was a nice warm day when dad dropped mum and Jack off at the studio for his newborn session.  Jack was as cute as can be with a little whisper of hair. He was already asleep so we were able to start right away.  For the first couple of poses he was a little unsettled. He kept his little hands in a tight fist making me work really hard to get his hands to relax. He wasn’t use to being touched while sleeping.  I thought he was going to make me work hard for the entire session but he finally started to relax. He stayed perfectly content and happy for the rest of his session. He even gave me a few smiles.

We were able to catch one of those smiles one a little video when he was posed in the bucket. Mum was right next to him just out of the shot to keep him safe. You can see the video on my facebook page.

It was so great to see Laura and catch up while we posed Jack. I think we’ll have to have a coffee morning.
